About the Role:

Design Management

  • Assist the Development team during design development and progress including identifying any major non-conformances.

  • In consultation with the Consultant and the Construction Manager, review and monitor the proposed procurement strategy and project schedule against design deliverable milestones.

  • Identify and track critical components of the work and track progress to meet pre-agreed milestones.

  • Effectively manage and resolve design issues that may be raised from various internal and external stakeholders.

Construction Management

  • Oversee and monitor progress against time, cost and quality requirements of pre-construction phases of the projects.

  • Review and make recommendations on the scope of work packages and work to be performed by the Construction Manager’s own forces to help facilitate the subsequent tendering and awarding of Subcontractor and supplier contracts.

  • Manage all job costing and invoicing approvals.

  • Review, coordinate, and track construction communication

  • Manage and track overall project schedule and coordinate activities with various Contractors and Consultants

  • Organize, lead, and or participate in construction meetings with the Construction Manager, ownership, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders.


Organizational Management

  • Manage key relationships with Authorities, Consultants, the supply chain, industry specialists, etc.

  • Contribute to the development of both the short- and long-term marketing strategies.

  • Facilitate turnover of the completed projects to the tenants and user groups.

  • Support the business strategy to ensure growth, performance and risk management as required by the business.

Job Requirements

Skills & Experience

  • A minimum of 6 years experience in design and construction mixed-use developments.

  • Previous experience working on a range of small to large projects simultaneously.

  • Extensive knowledge of design principles and experience in project delivery best practices.

  • Solid technical background with the understanding of construction procedures, methodology, sequences, materials and processes.

  • A strong financial and commercial understanding of design principles with the ability to effectively contribute during the design process.

  • An exceptional ability to build and maintain professional relationships with all levels of an organization including stakeholders and external consultants.
